THE JULY 8th & 9th SOCP MEETING INCLUDED PARTICIPANTS ON THE WEB

The Ship Operations Cooperative Program (SOCP) held its membership meeting as a live internet video broadcast, with the Year 2000 computer issue being featured. The meeting was judged by the attendees to be the best meeting to date (since 1993) from a content perspective, and the internet broadcast was flawless. Approximately 500 persons logged onto the broadcast from around the world. Special recognition is due to Gardy McGrath International who produced the broadcast from their studio in Reston, VA.  The Y2K presentations were especially successful, with a broad range of questions coming from the internet audience. The SOCP website has established a [Y2K section] which will feature issues addressed during the meeting.  Videos of the Y2K session, as well as the entire webcast have been created and are available for $15.00 and $35.00 respectively.  Please contact [John Dumbleton] if you are interested in obtaining copies.  The [Y2K video presentations] and [other meeting video presentations] are available for you to view on the internet.  [RealPlayer] must be installed on your PC to view the videos.  In addition, available M.S.
